Call for Entries: Our Precious Planet

Axis Mundi by Rose Wognum Frances

A Gallery and Online Exhibition
July 2 through August 28

Opening Reception: July 2 from 5-7 pm
Our Precious Planet is in peril. In Sonoma County, we are constantly aware of this as we witness the drought, wildfires and the pandemic. On Feb 26, 2021, The UN issued a “Red Alert” climate report: “Nations are nowhere close to the level of action needed to fight global warming…”
The Santa Rosa Arts Center invites artists, poets, writers, and musicians to respond to the theme “Our Precious Planet”. It is a starting point for you to share your observations of our only home. Express your respect, your love, fear, cautions through the media of your choice. We invite literal, abstract, and conceptual interpretations of nature, people, places. What is your unique experience? Take care of Our Precious Planet, observe and cherish it.
This group exhibit is non-juried in recognition of SRAC’s role as an inclusive hub for art in our community.
