TURNING PAGES: THE BOOK AS AN ART FORM

Artist reception: Friday September 2 5-7pm
The book is an object and a container and combined with the book as an art form is an invitation to use uncommon materials (ie handmade paper, fabric, glass, wood, leather, metal stone as the first book may have used!)
Imagine the different structures and formats possible from traditional codex to unfolding accordion books, scrolls, tunnel, pop-ups, fan, venetian blinds and flag books to name a few. Blank, text or image-based.
